“If you want to find the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”

Nikola Tesla

Sound as Medicine

Every part of the body, from cells to toes, moves, and that movement creates sound. The generated sound waves and electric fields help regulate over half of the body’s biological processes, which is why frequency technology has been used for healing for centuries.

Sound travels rapidly through the body using water as its highway, moving through the cranial bones, hearing system, and connective tissue (the fascia which links everything in the body).

When the body is dehydrated and the fascia becomes thick, dry, or inflexible, often from unresolved emotional experiences or trauma, sound transmissions slow down or become blocked. Unexpressed emotions (energy in motion) create tension in the tissues, keeping the body in a stressed state which can ultimately lead to disease.

Sound healing stimulates these stagnant areas, allowing stored tension, unprocessed emotions, and even memories to release bringing the body back into more vibrancy, harmony, and health.

How Do I Prepare For A Sound Bath?

It’s a little like preparing for a meditation or yoga class. Wear comfy clothes and dress in layers. If you’re attending a community sound bath event, bring a thick mat, foamy or something extra padded to lie down on, along with a blanket, pillow, etc cover (optional) and your water bottle. If you are coming to my studio space just bring yourself!

You’ll be laying down, or seated if you prefer, and guided into a meditative state by the facilitator. You may like to have an intention for the session such as healing through grief, forgiveness, a manifestation or clarity on something. It’s also not uncommon to fall asleep. “What if I snore!?” people always ask. You wouldn’t be the first. All of you is welcome. You’re meant to relax here.
